Mike joined the industry 1995 starting in production and location scouting . Since 2002 he has worked as 1st AD with many award winning directors in Africa ,Europe and Asia including Keith Rose, Ricardo de Carvalho, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ( Babel / 21 grams ) ,Bruno Aveillan and Bertum Von Munster ( Amazing Race ) . Mike is a passionate filmmaker and photographer combining strong performances with great visual style giving his work a unique look and feel.

His first short film for JHB tourism / SAA / Weopenon gained widespread recognition and he is now directing commercials fulltime. Although familiar with longer format, television reality series, documentaries and commercials he believes that in the digital era viral canvasses are the medium of the future, and that the pushing of time limits will allow us to break the mould of format advertising ,without compromising the integrity of the art in our work.

Mike works out of London , Johannesburg and currently works/ resides in Cape Town.
