PJ was born in Lesotho and completed high school in Pretoria. After a brief stint at a university in the Free State where he was registered as a law student, he decided to follow his passion and study film.
Pj began his film career as a cameraman on the first South African Big Brother; he then went on to shoot music videos and cooperates. PJ had a change of direction in his career when he became a loader for feature films such as Jerusalema, White Lion and District 9.
He then went back to being a fulltime videographer in various genres and formats until he got the opportunity to direct a short film for the SOUL city Untold stories series called Monna wa Motsamai. Since then PJ has directed a full-length feature for the Ministry of Health Lesotho, called Tshasa and most recently on the critically acclaimed series Intersexions.
