Gianni joined Cab Films in March 2010 after having enjoyed a long and rewarding career in the international publishing arena. Previously of shots Magazine (until 2006 and again in 2008) where he achieved remarkable results, then at Boards until the end of last year, he also worked for takeight.com UK as their Online Publisher and for Ricall Limited London as their VP of Business Development.
After well over a decade in publishing, he decided he could not resist the temptation any longer and made the long-overdue ‘big switch’ into the heady world of film productions. With his extensive international film network, his love of Cape Town and his long-standing friendship with executive producer Charles Gallacher, moving to Cab Films was a perfect fit and he jumped at the chance to join the company when he found himself, for once, on the receiving end of some gentle persuasion from his old friend.
Born in Italy in 1971 and having spent almost his entire life studying literature and philosophy at the Universities of Milan, London and Liverpool, Gianni first entered the great world of media and production in 1998. He chose Cab in order to expand further its international presence and today he’s responsible for our international business. He’s our ‘pack and go’ traveller (globally looting and pillaging talent and fine projects for Cab to represent or shoot) and he loves his job!
